Alyssa is doing well today. I just got done holding her for the first time since her operation. She is back in her baseline O2 of 1L. Her catheter and one of her chest tubes is out. If all goes well, she will be transferred to step-down tomorrow. She pointed to some animals in a book but has mostly been sleeping. She's doing wonderful! We couldn't be happier with her progress so far.

Was great to hear from you, even better to know you got to hold Alyssa. I am sure your night was long and I hope you and James both got some sleep. Our prayers will be with you until we see our little one walking and playing outside. SJN prayer group is also praying for the day that Alyssa's lungs will be strong enough,and she will no longer have need for the oxygen.

We are so glad that she is doing so well! She is one tough little lady! Try to sleep when she sleeps. SHe will have more energy when she gets home and you will need to rest up!

Your mom sent me this link and I am so glad she did. With tears I read of Alyssa's amazing progress. The power of faith and prayer is awesome! No doubt Alyssa gets her incredible strength from her mom. You are truly an inspiration. Please know my prayers and that of my family continue for Alyssa's complete recovery. Noah prays for Alyssa every night at dinner. I believe the prayers of children are heard loudest of all. Take good care and God bless.
