Below is a prayer that a friend gave me and I used when Devin was in the NICU (it gave me some comfort)....

Heavenly Father,
Alyssa calls on you right now in a special way. It is through your power that she was created. Every breath she takes, every morning she wakes, and every moment of every hour, she lives under your power.

Father, Alyssa asks you now to touch her with that same power. For if you created her from nothing, you can certainly recreate her. Fill her with the healing power of your spirit. Cast out anything that should not be in her. Mend what is broken. Root out any unproductive cells. Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection.

Let the warmth of your healing love pass through her body to make new any unhealthy areas so that her body will function the way you created it to function.

And Father, restore her to full health in mind and body so that she may serve you the rest of her life.

I ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

We love you all so much!!
Walter, Erin, Drew, and Devin Dodds

Alyssa is an angel from God, and I am confident that Gods love and mercy will shine on her tomorrow. Alyssa's story has touched many peoples lives and when she survives her surgery tomorrow, she will continue to be a light in this dark world and she will bring brightness to everyone she meets. Alyssa's story will continue to inspire those who know her and love her. Her cousin Rich Sliski opened my eyes when he sent a message asking for prayers and thoughts......I can tell she is a special little lady. God Bless Alyssa and her loved ones during this trying time and may Gods peace surround you all. God Bless You

I do hope that your little angel makes it through her procedure sucessfully. She seems as though she is a fighter, and that should prove to anyone that God can be on your side. Even the innocence and strength of a small child can be the eye opener some of can use as a sign that it is good to have faith. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
